@ ROYAL MELBOURNE GOLF CLUB on MONDAY 18 May 2026
With the generosity of the Royal Melbourne Golf Club, we held the 2026 Bayside Charity Golf Day at Royal Melbourne, one of Australia’s top 10 golf courses, on Monday 18 May 2026. The Rotary Club of Beaumaris, together with the Black Rock Sports Auxiliary Club organised and put on a great day to raise money for Sandringham Hospital and club charities for which we provide support. Proceeds from the event will go towards the purchase of an ultrasound machine to support the delivery of obstetric care at Sandringham Hospital which will enable 500+ additional scans to be performed each year by the Sandringham Hospital Radiology department.
We played two 18 hole events on the West Course (East course event unavailable this year due to course maintenance). The shot gun Stableford competitions started at 7:30am and 12:30pm.
What a day! Cool and damp but no wind or rain. 230+ golfers participated and we raised close to $100,000. A great achievement. A massive effort, with particular thanks to the Golf Committee, the Royal Melbourne Golf Club, volunteers and of course golfers!
A highlight of the day was a Hole in One! Matthew Weston had a hole in one on the 5th hole on the West course. Congratulations Matthew! Watch the tee shot here, and the celebrations here.
The 2027 event details will be announced soon. Watch this space!
